Description:
Valley Forge is the encampment site of the Continental Army during the winter of 1777-1778. The park features 3,500 acres of meadows, woodlands, and monuments commemorating the sacrifices and perseverance of the Revolutionary War generation and honoring the power of people to pull together and overcome adversity during extraordinary times.

The park is conveniently located off of U.S. Route 422. The main entrance to the park is at the intersection of State Route 23 and North Gulph Road. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take Exit 326. From Interstate I-76, take Route 422 West to Route 23 West/Valley Forge. From State Route 252, take State Route 23 East.

The park grounds including roads, trails, and monuments are open from 7:00 AM to Dark (30 minutes after sunset) year round. Park grounds remain open on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
The Visitor Center building reopened on June 17, 2021 after an extensive renovation project. Open daily, 9 AM to 5 PM. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's days.
Washington's Headquarters, also known as the Isaac Potts House, is the structure used by General George Washington and his household during the 1777-1778 encampment of the Continental Army at Valley Forge.
The historic Valley Forge Station building is an elegant passenger train station designed to welcome visitors arriving to Valley Forge State Park. The building was constructed in 1911 and replaced an older structure. Today it is home to interpretive exhibits.
