Enjoy ancient coast redwoods, grazing Roosevelt elk and black-tailed deer in Elk Prairie, easy access to over 70 miles of hiking and biking trails, and seasonal ranger-led programs. Cabins available. Located in the heart of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, 6 miles north of Orick, CA. 10/15/24 - Due to waterline replacement taking place near this campground, sites 62-65 are currently closed. The other campsites in the lower loop and the prairie loop are open.

Regulations Overview: The designated "Hike and Bike" camping sites are only for those visitors that hike in, or bicycle in. Visitors arriving by any vehicle may not use the "Hike and Bike" sites.
