While many visitors do not see bears at Igloo Campground, remember that you are camping in bear country.
Igloo Campground is in the middle of Igloo Forest, which is mainly made up of spruce trees.
Campsites in Igloo Creek have some brush screening between sites.
Igloo Creek has no well or water tap. Water must be gathered from the nearby creek, so bring a filter.
Food lockers at Igloo Creek ensure that wildlife cannot steal your food. Keep all scented items (e.g., deodorant, toothpaste) in the locker, not just your food.
Keep in mind that bears can be found nearly anywhere in Denali. Keep your food and other scented items stored properly in the campground facilities provided!
A covered eating area is available at Igloo Creek Campground.
Igloo has two pit toilets for campers.
